Volunteers need to be organized, pre-credentialed and ready to mobilize during both time of disaster and times of simple, clear community need. Whether you are a healthcare provider, administrative specialist, a retired professional – or just someone ready to help in your community – Georgia needs you.
GeorgiaResponds.org provides opportunities to learn how to help before and after disasters or health emergencies – even help the less fortunate right in your own community on an odd Saturday. Everyday you can make a difference no matter what your skillset or credentials. Georgia Responds is the organization representing the gateway into Georgia's medical and volunteer health care programs.
If you are a health care provider, donate care to Georgia's uninsured – now with the protection of Sovereign Immunity (SI) – in the Georgia Volunteer Health Care Program (GVHCP). Our goal is to increase access to quality health care for undeserved Georgians through volunteerism and state-sponsored liability protection. The benefits for volunteering for this program includes: continuing education credits, relationship building in your community and more importantly saving lives.
Be part of a national initiative to assist emergency response and public safety organizations during a disaster with the State Emergency Registry of Volunteers in Georgia (SERVGA). This registry system alleviates issues associated with non-certified and spontaneous volunteerism through an innovative pre-credentialing system. Even help build a strong, safe and resilient community with the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), a national network of locally based volunteer groups, health departments, hospitals and other emergency responders.
By signing up today, it's just a Click, Connect and Care away.
