Georgia Board of Public Health Seeks Public Input on Future Spending

ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and its Board of Public Health will seek public input as the agency begins to plan for state fiscal year 2015 amended and 2016 general budgets.  In an effort to strengthen community involvement, a public budget hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at 2 Peachtree Street, NW, 5th Floor Board Room, Atlanta, GA, 30303-3142.

The hearing will allow members of the public to voice their opinions on how DPH resources should be used. Those interested in speaking at the meeting are asked to submit their intention to attend along with a copy of their comments to DPHConstituentServices@DPH.ga.gov by Tuesday, August 5th. Please note that speakers will be limited to 3 minutes each.

Anyone attending the meeting must sign in and present photo identification at the security desk, located on the north side of the 2 Peachtree lobby, to pick up a badge to access the meeting.
