ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) will seek public comment on the Georgia fiscal year 2016 Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant. In an effort to strengthen community involvement, a public hearing will be held on Monday, Apr. 18, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., 2 Peachtree Street, NW, Room 7-730C2, Atlanta, GA, 30303.

The hearing will allow members of the public, special interest groups, and lawmakers to voice their opinions on the work plan and deliverables in the fiscal year 2016 Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant. Comments may be presented in person at the public hearing or submitted in writing to Barinaadaa Kara, Principal Investigator, PHBG, Georgia Department of Public Health, 2 Peachtree St., N.W., 15th Floor, Atlanta, Georgia, 30303. Comments may also be submitted electronically to [email protected]. Comments must be received by 5 p.m., Friday, Apr. 15, 2016.

Anyone attending the meeting must sign in and present photo identification at the security desk, located on the north side of the 2 Peachtree lobby to pick up a badge to access the meeting.  Anyone needing special assistance is asked to contact DPH in advance.
