Respiratory Viral Pathogen Panel

Brief Description

Georgia Public Health Laboratory performs surveillance testing for respiratory viruses using a nucleic acid multiplex Respiratory Viral Panel. The following virus types and subtypes are identified using this panel from: Nasopharyngeal specimens positive for Adenovirus, Coronavirus 229E, Coronavirus HKU1, Coronavirus NL63, Coronavirus OC43, Human Rhinovirus, Parainfluenza virus 1, Parainfluenza virus 2, Parainfluenza virus 3, Parainfluenza virus 4, Respiratory Syncytial virus A (RSV A), Respiratory Syncytial virus B (RSV B), Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV) and Bocavirus.
