Specimen Collection

Fresh stool:

Collect fresh stool specimens within 48 hours from the time symptoms begin and place in a leak-proof, non-crushable, sterile container (not provided by GPHL).

Storage/Transport

Fresh stool can be maintained at refrigerated temperature (2-8°C) during transit for no more than 24 hours after collection. Special arrangement required CALL 404-327-7997.
