CMV IgM
Brief Description
The LIAISON XL® CMV IgM assay uses chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) technology on the LIAISON XL® Analyzer for the qualitative determination of IgG antibodies to human cytomegalovirus (hCMV) in human serum. It is intended to be used as an aid in the determination of serological status to CMV. This assay is not FDA-cleared for use in testing (i.e., screening) blood or plasma donors. The performance characteristics of this assay have not been established for cord blood or specimens from neonates, infants, or pre-transplant patients.
