Dr. Lee Donohue serves as the District Health Director for the East Central Health District 6, in Augusta, Georgia. 

Dr. Donohue, an Augusta resident since 2007, has led the Internal Medicine Residency Program at MCG for many years.  Prior to that, she served as associate program director for four years and was chief of the Department of Medicine’s Division of Internal Medicine.  She has been devoted to clinical work in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, and especially focusing on women’s health.

An honored educator, she has received, several times, the Exemplary Teaching Award for Undergraduate Education, and the Attending of the Year Award.  She has also received the Exemplary Teaching Award for Medical Resident Education.
