As many of you know the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) has been working toward accreditation from the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB). With support from our partners we have been successful at completing a state level health assessment, statewide strategic plan, and state health improvement plan.

It is imperative for us to have your valuable input as we go forward.  We would like to invite you to a discussion about next steps.  The purpose of this meeting is to share updates to the state health assessment, review progress in the areas of focus noted below, and identify key areas for ongoing collaboration.

The focus areas selected are—

  1. Maternal and Child Health
  2. Chronic Disease Prevention
  3. Access to Healthcare

The meeting will be on Monday, May 22, 2017. Registration will start at 12:30pm and the meeting will be from 1:00pm-4:30pm at Loudermilk Conference Center at 40 Courtland Street, Atlanta, Georgia 30303

Please register using the form below by close of business, Monday, May 15, 2017. Please do not forward this invitation; this is your personal invitation to you.  We have only 100 slots for meeting participants.  If you are not able to attend and wish to nominate a replacement, please let us know so that we may plan accordingly. Prior to the meeting you will receive the agenda for the day and supporting documents to review.

If you have any questions or need additional information about registration, please contact Alesia Gales at [email protected].  Thank you for your partnership.  We look forward to working with you on implementing our State Health Improvement Plan.
