We provide Georgia families with screening, early intervention, and care for medical and developmental concerns — from birth through young adulthood.

Direct Services for Families

These programs provide early identification, care, and/or support for young children and their families. These programs assess needs and connect families to appropriate services. If you are interested in any of these programs, please submit a referral using the Child Health Referral Form (below).

Children 1st

Children birth to age 5 who may be at risk for developmental delays or health problems.

Children birth to age 3 with developmental delays or certain medical conditions.

Children, birth to age 21, with certain medical conditions and disabilities. Must meet family income requirements.

Screening and Prevention

Includes newborn screening programs, along with well-child visits (Health Check) available through local health departments, to identify concerns early and support ongoing health.

Indirect Services to Families

These services are delivered through providers and through program support. These services strengthen how care is delivered across the state by providing education, resources, and system improvements.
