  • ALERT 12/30/2023: Voluntary Recall of Nutramigen Infant Formula

    On December 30, 2023, Reckitt/Mead Johnson Nutrition announced a voluntarily recall of select batches of 12.6 and 19.8 oz. cans of Nutramigen powder infant formula due to possible Conobacter sakazkii contamination. To date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall, and it is likely most of the product that was distributed in the U.S. has already been consumed. Consumers, including WIC participants, who have affected product should stop using it and throw it away or contact Reckitt/Mead Johnson for a refund at 866-534-9986 or [email protected].

  • ALERT 11/7/23: Voluntary Recall of Certain WanaBana USA Products

    On November 2, 2023, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a notice to advise parents and caregivers not to buy or feed certain WanaBana USA products to toddlers or young children, because the products may contain elevated levels of lead.  WanaBana apple cinnamon fruit puree pouches, all lot codes and expiration dates, are affected.  The company also initiated a voluntary recall of these products. These products are sold nationally and are available through multiple retailers, including Sam’s Club, Amazon, and Dollar Tree.  

    Consumers should stop using the product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers can email the company at [email protected].

  • ALERT 2/20/23: Reckitt / Mead Johnson voluntarily recalls Enfamil ProSobee Simply Plant-Based Infant Formula powder

    Reckitt / Mead Johnson voluntarily recalls two (2) lots of 12.9 oz. cans of Enfamil ProSobee Simply Plant-Based Infant Formula powder. 

    WIC participants and caregivers of infants who have purchased this product should contact Reckitt at 1-800-479-0551 or by email at [email protected]. Parents and caregivers of infants who have used this product and are concerned about the health of their child should contact their healthcare provider.  Products identified as part of this recall may be returned to the place of purchase for an exchange or returned to a WIC clinic for replacement benefit issuance. Participants also have the option to return recalled containers to the place of purchase for exchange or refund instructions.  The alternative available for GA WIC participants is the 20.9 oz size of the Enfamil ProSobee Simply Plant-Based Infant formula, which was not impacted by the voluntary recall.   • ALERT 10/19/2022: Voluntary Recall of Certain 2 Fl. Oz. Liquid Products

    Abbott is initiating a proactive, voluntary recall of certain lots of 2 fluid ounce/59 milliliter bottles of Ready-to-Feed liquid products for infants and children, including the brands Similac® Pro-Total ComfortTM, Similac® 360 Total Care®, Similac 360 Total Care Sensitive, Similac® Special Care® 24, Similac Stage 1, Similac® NeoSure®, Similac Water (Sterilized) and Pedialyte Electrolyte Solution.
