WIC Investigations
The DPH-OIG WIC Program Investigations is responsible for investigating fraud and abuse within the Georgia WIC Program. The DPH-OIG WIC Program Investigations is made up of three Units-Covert Investigations, Northern Overt Investigations Unit, and Southern Overt Investigations Unit.
Covert Investigations Unit
This unit is responsible for conducting compliance buys on WIC vendors and vendor fraud investigations.
Northern & Southern Overt Investigations Units
These units are responsible for Routine Vendor Monitor Visits, including follow-ups, Pre-approvals/vendor background investigations, Participant Investigations, and complaints against vendors.
