EMS Initial Education
EMS Initial Education Courses are conducted by institutions designated by the Office of EMS and Trauma (OEMST). There are four levels of EMS Initial Education Program Designation EMR, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic. All Paramedic programs must also be accredited by CAAHEP.

- Under license level search for EMS Initial Education
- Choose the level of EMS Education you are searching for
- Use the phone number listed to contact the program about enrollment or;
- Click on the hyperlink to the program and visit their website (if the Program has an active website)
Program Designation
Sponsors interested in receiving Designation as an EMS Education Program must complete the following.
- Notify their Regional Training Coordinator of their intent and the following information;
- Name of the Education Program
- Physical Address of the facility
- Name of the Program Director
- Levels of Designation desired
- Program Director Certification form
- Programs sponsors will have to have the following
- Medical Director
- Clinical/Field Contracts
- Staff roster
- Advisory Committee
Once this has been completed the Department will conduct the following;
- Facility inspection
- Minimum Equipment Inspection
