DPH Cancer Early Diagnosis and Treatment ECHO
Topics will include the importance of multidisciplinary approach to cancer care, patient navigation, awareness, and access to evidence base cancer care guidelines. These virtual, tele-mentoring sessions will amplify the capacity of local teams to provide best-practice cancer care to all CoC and non-CoC and/or rural facilities in Georgia. Early Diagnosis and Treatment topics will be presented via didactic and case presentations to expand the knowledge base and skill set of primary care physicians, pediatricians, internist, family practitioners, Advanced Practice Providers, nurses, and other team members who work in hospitals with children or adult cancer patients.
Objective
The GA-DPH Early Diagnosis and Treatment ECHO provides a community learning platform for health care providers in rural and/or facilities diagnosing and treating cancer patients in Georgia. We strongly encourage primary care physicians, pediatricians, internist, family practitioners, Advance Practice Providers, nurses, and other team members. We plan on reviewing Georgia cancer strategic plan, improve communication with cancer care, decrease community provider isolation, improve connection between sites offering cancer treatment and improving access to cancer quality care. In addition, we will query the conduct an assessment on topics based on your needs.
Curriculum
These ECHO sessions will be conducted quarterly, on Wednesday for one hour from 12-1pm.
