Lupus and Other Rheumatologic Conditions

The Lupus and Other Rheumatologic Conditions ECHO will focus primarily on systemic lupus erythematosus but also encompass cutaneous lupus. It is well established that lupus education is poor among non-rheumatology providers, with the average duration between symptom onset and diagnosis between 3-5 years. We are seeking earlier and more accurate diagnoses, improved evaluation and treatment of flares, reduction of comorbidities (such as cardiovascular disease, renal insufficiency/failure), and reduction of racial health disparities. The sessions will be targeted towards front-line providers who may see undiagnosed lupus or those not regularly managed by a rheumatologist, including emergency room, urgent care, primary care, OB/Gyn, and dermatology providers.

The Lupus and Other Rheumatologic Conditions ECHO meets bi-monthly, typically on the first Wednesday, from 12 pm - 1 pm (EST).
